How come my drawings look better on my school desk than they look like on paper and photoshop?

I mean, like... SERIOUSLY better. o_o

There is a clear difference between the ones on paper and the ones on my school desk. (My last submission was originally drawn on my desk in class when I was extremely bored and it looked WAAY better.)
